* Please note: most HOC members must also register with AO, which has an additional fee that varies based on age.

MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES and FEES

CATEGORY #1

FULL YEAR MEMBERSHIP (Senior AO or MTA Programs)

  • $440/yr + AO fee
  • Entries are paid by the club to all meets sanctioned by the club, at the discretion of coach.
  • Travel to provincial meets (AO championships) MAY be covered.
  • Accommodation for provincial meets, when necessary, under club supervision & rules, MAY be covered.
  • Coaching by volunteer NCCP certified coaches.
  • Eligible to be selected for yearly club awards.
  • Must wear club approved uniform at all club sanctioned meets.
  • Entry fee(s) will be paid by the club, providing Club performance standards are met.
  • Includes Cross Country Membership.
  • Required to volunteer for Bingo fundraising events.
CATEGORY #2

SESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP

  • $220/session + AO fee where necessary.
  • Entitled to the same privileges as Category #1, but limited to indoor or outdoor season only (based on season of registration)
  • Required to volunteer for Bingo fundraising events.

CATEGORY #3

COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY MEMBERSHIP (Senior Program only)

  • $220/yr + AO fee
  • Entitled to the same privileges as Category #1.
  • Must be registered full-time in a post-secondary institution to qualify.
  • Required to volunteer for Bingo fundraising events.

CATEGORY #4

JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP (Youth Development Program only)

  • $100/session
  • Short-term membership in 10 week, non-competitive run-jump-throw based introductory program, available in spring and fall.
  • Coaching by a volunteer certified NCCP coach.
  • Includes t-shirt.
  • No meet entries are provided by Club.
  • NOT required to volunteer for Bingo fundraising events.

CATEGORY #5

CROSS COUNTRY MEMBERSHIP (12yrs and up)

  • $100/session (if not already a full year member).
  • Entitled to the same privileges as Category #1, with the exception of overnight accomodations, and limited to cross country season only
  • Required to volunteer for Bingo fundraising events.

CATEGORY #6

ASSOCIATE/RECREATION MEMBERSHIP (18yrs+)

  • $100/yr
  • Restricted to AO recreation membership only. No AO championship meets.
  • Must pay own entry fees, arranged through your coach.
  • Ineligible for yearly awards.
  • Coaching by a volunteer certified NCCP coach.
  • This membership may be upgraded to pro-rated full membership, along with AO membership, at any time during the year.

CATEGORY #7

MASTERS MEMBERSHIP

  • $220/yr
  • Entries paid by the Club for all meets sanctioned by the Club.
  • Must join AO in recreation (or higher) category to be eligible for entry funding.
  • Coaching by a volunteer certified NCCP coach.
  • Not eligible for transportation or accommodation support.
  • Required to volunteer for Bingo fundraising events.

Athletics Ontario (AO)
Most HOC members must also register with this provincial body in order to compete in AO-sanctioned meets. There is a registration fee for AO membership, separate from any HOC program fees. Members of the AO are automatically member of Athletics Canada, whose members are eligible for National Championship meets. Performance standards are required by the Club to compete in these meets.
